In February 2010, Burmese women received  the Samaneri (novice nun) ordination at the Bodhi tree in Budhgaya, India
She also perform circumambulation, walking around a Bodhi tree three times, as a gesture of faith and respect in the Holy Triple Gem.

A samaneri (Pāli language) is a novice Buddhist nun, who lives according to the ten precepts. Male novices are called samaneras.
